Germany's Doreen Wennekamp has won the gold medal in women's 25m pistol shooting at the ISSF World Championship in Baku, İdman.biz informs.
The athlete scored 40 points.
The Ukrainian team took the first medal at the championship. Thus, Olena Kostevych won the silver medal with 31 points. Agate Rasmane from Latvia, with 25 points, took the third place.
The finalists from Latvia, Thailand, South Korea and Chinese Taipei won licenses to participate in the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.
The ISSF World Championship held in Baku for the first time is the biggest event in this sport since 2018. It is attended by up to 2,000 athletes and representatives from more than 100 countries.
