The second day of races has begun at the International President Cup 2025 Regatta, dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth.
Idman.biz, citing AZERTAC, reports the event is taking place at the Kur Olympic Training and Sports Center in Mingachevir, where teams are competing in kayak, canoe, and academic rowing over various distances.
Athletes from Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Serbia, South Africa, Spain, Tajikistan, Turkiye, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan are participating in the regatta.
Yesterday, the Azerbaijani rowers Amil Ramazanov (2007), Alimurad Hacizade (2009), and Mustafa Valizada (2011) won bronze medals in the single kayak category at the opening races in Sugovushan.
The regatta will conclude on May 2.
