"Mingechevir Regatta-2023" jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation has been concluded.

Amil Ramazanov reached the top of the podium twice, reaching the finish line faster than everyone. He won the 200m and 1000m in the 1-man kayak.
The hegemony of Azerbaijani athletes was also experienced in the 2-person kayak at a distance of 200 m. In the competition of rowers born in 2007-08, Giyas Ahmadov and Riyad Ismayilzade won gold, Subhan Hasanov and Rashad Dadashov won silver, Nihat Guliyev and Shahin Isayev won bronze medals.
Among athletes born in 2007-08, Alimurad Hajizade was the 1st in the 200 m kayak race. Azerbaijani couple Alimurad Hajizade and Vajib Babayev beat all their competitors in the 200 m race of athletes born in 2009-10. Omer Gamarli and Ivan Vorobzhansky won bronze medals.
The team thus, the national team completed the "Mingechevir Regatta-2023" in which 14 teams from 8 countries participated with 20 medals. 8 of them were awarded with gold, 4 with silver, and 8 with bronze. With this indicator, our team won the first place in the "Mingechevir Regatta-2023" Cup in Kayak and Canoe. The winner in academic rowing was the Georgian team.
