As per Idman.biz, this was said by Vusal Gurbanov, press secretary of the Azerbaijan Canoe and Rowing Federation (ACRF).
He said that the Baku championship held in the Boulevard area is important in terms of promoting rowing: "By attracting young people to such competitions, it is to select professionals from among them and create competitive, strong teams in the future. There are 60 participants in today's competition. In addition to Baku, athletes from Mingachevir also try their hand at the competition. The difference compared to last year is that in the previous years, those who participated in this sport for 1-2 months while holding a competition in Baku or Mingachevir, this year, those who already have some experience are participating. This increases the competition in the competition and indicates that we have achieved development in rowing in our country."
In the one-day competition, athletes will compete in academic rowing, kayaking and canoeing.
