The closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games is held.
Idman.biz reports that the event was organized at the Park de Prince stadium.
At the ceremony, which started at 23:00, the parade of the Azerbaijani delegation took place. Taekwondo player Gashim Magomedov and artistic gymnast Zeynab Hummatova were the flag bearers of Azerbaijan.
After the artistic part, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Paris 2024 Olympics, Tony Estange, and the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, spoke and said that the Games were a success and that the memory of the athletes, fans, as well as millions of spectators was in vain.
At the end of the event, the Olympic flag was handled over to the mayor of Los Angeles, the organizer of the next games. After that, an interesting video about the delivery of the flag to Los Angeles was shown with the participation of the famous actor Tom Cruise.
329 sets of medals have found their owners at the Paris 2024 Olympics, which started on July 26. Azerbaijan team finished the games in 30th place with 2 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals.
