Judo wrestlers Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg) won gold, taekwondo player Gashim Magomedov (58 kg) and boxer Alfonso Dominguez (92 kg) won silver, Greco-Roman wrestler Hasrat Jafarov (67 kg) and freestyle wrestlers Giorgi Meshvildishvili (125 kg). Magomedkhan Magomedov (97 kg) won a bronze medal.
This is the second result of the Azerbaijani national team in the history of the Olympics. Higher results were achieved only in London 2012.
2 gold and 2 silver were won in the capital of Great Britain. But 12 years ago, there were more bronze awards.
