Idman.biz reports that the fight in the last two weights of Greco-Roman wrestling has started today.
Two "classics" of the Azerbaijan national team appeared on the carpet. Hasrat Jafarov and Rafig Huseynov are fighting for a place in the medal matches.
Men's Greco-Roman

Hasrat Jafarov started the Olympics from the 1/8 Elimination Round. Mohamed El-Sayed (Egypt), the silver and bronze medalist of the world championships, regretted going to the mat. Jafarov won with full advantage (9:0) and advanced to the quarterfinals. In his second match, he faced Moldovan Valentin Petic and defeated him 3:1. On the way to the final, the Azerbaijani wrestler faced Parviz Nasibov (Ukraine). Although the match ended with a score of 3:3, the opponent qualified according to the last technical points. Jafarov will continue the fight for the bronze medal.

Azerbaijan's Greco-Roman wrestling team went to Paris with 5 athletes. Murad Mammadov (60 kg) and Sabah Shariati (130 kg) finished their journey without a medal, while Sanan Suleymanov (77 kg) will compete for bronze.
