On November 24, a meeting with the president of the European Athletics Association was held at the National Olympic Committee.
According to Idman.biz, the meeting was attended by NOC Vice President Chingiz Huseynzade, General Secretary Azer Aliyev, European Athletics Association President Dobromir Karamarinov, Azerbaijan Athletics Federation President Javid Gurbanov, member of the Executive Committee of the NOC, first vice-president of the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation, Member of Parliament Konul Nurullayeva, Head of the NOC Sports Department Hasanagha Rzayev and General Secretary of the Athletics Federation Maharram Sultanzade participated.
The vice-president of the National Olympic Committee Chingiz Huseynzade spoke about the international sports relations of the NOC and said that these relations are always at a high level. He said that the President of Azerbaijan, President of the National Olympic Committee, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, in his speeches, particularly emphasized that he came to the leadership of the country from the presidency of the National Olympic Committee. Later, he noted that Azerbaijan successfully hosted the 1st European Games and 4th Islamic Solidarity Games, and that Azerbaijan set new standards in these games.
At the end of the meeting, the vice-president of the NOC, Chingiz Huseynzade, presented a special commemorative gift to the president of the European Athletics Association, Dobromir Karamarinova.
