An intellectual competition dedicated to National Press Day was held on July 22 among sports journalists, organized by the PFL, AFFA, and Misli.
Commemorative gifts were presented to all participating media representatives by AFFA and the PFL, Idman.biz reports.
The tournament, which brought together nearly 80 media representatives, proved to be both interesting and memorable. The teams were named after the 12 clubs that will participate in the 2025/26 Azerbaijan Premier League season. Additionally, employees from PFL and AFFA took part in the competition in a non-competitive capacity.
In the end, the Karvan team emerged as the winner, with Gabala finishing second and Shamakhi taking third place.
At the end of the event, the Karvan team was awarded prize money and medals. The second- and third-place teams also received monetary prizes. Special gifts were presented to the female participants of the tournament, while members of the Zira and Neftchi teams, who answered the most questions related to PFL and AFFA, were given commemorative awards.
