The Azerbaijan National Anti-Doping Agency (AMADA) has organized an educational seminar for the young members of the national fencing team.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness about anti-doping rules and responsibilities, Idman.biz reports.
During the session, athletes received detailed information on anti-doping rule violations, the doping control process, and athletes’ rights and obligations throughout that process.
Key topics included: Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs), Consequences of using prohibited substances, the WADA Prohibited List, the importance of submitting whereabouts information, and the ADAMS system.
Held in an interactive format, the seminar also provided answers to participants’ questions.
This initiative was designed to contribute not only to the physical but also the ethical development of young athletes, reinforcing the values of fairness and integrity in sport. The importance of adhering to anti-doping regulations and making informed decisions was strongly emphasized.
