The World Coastal Rowing Championship was held in Barletta, Italy.
Idman.biz informs that Diana Dymchenko, the rower of the Azerbaijan national team, finished the World Cup with a silver medal.
She finished first in the qualifying round. The athlete covered the distance of 4000 m in 20:11.72 minutes. Dymchenko was 10 seconds ahead of Finnish representative Eva Karppinen, who was second in the qualifying round. (20:21.43). With this result, Diana qualified for the A final, which is the main final.
The athletes competed at a distance of 6000 m, in the final. Dymchenko completed the same distance in 32:20.94 minutes. Azerbaijan's athlete won the silver medal of the World Championship, defeating French Jessica Berra (32.33.92) by 13 seconds. Diana was only behind the Irish Monika Dukarska (32:09.17).
It should be noted that Dymchenko also took 2nd place in the World Coastal Rowing Championship organized in Wales in 2022.
