A South American football fan traveling in Peru after attending the Copa Libertadores final recorded an astonishing moment upon reaching Machu Picchu.
As İdman.Biz reports, when he climbed to a mountain peak located at approximately 5,000 meters above sea level, he unexpectedly came across a full football pitch built in an area where almost no one lives. He described the view as breathtaking.
The fan shared his reaction:
“Almost no one lives here, yet people still play football! This is the most beautiful pitch I have ever seen. I think we often underestimate the enormous role football plays in our lives.”
It is worth noting that the head coach of Azerbaijan’s football club “Sabah,” Valdas Dambrauskas, recently posted something similar. While climbing Shahdag, he was amazed to discover a football field situated at an altitude of 2,000 meters.
