Brazilian forward Breno Almeida, who plays for Baku-based Neftchi, has attracted renewed interest from Hungarian champions Ferencvaros, with the Budapest club reportedly considering another move during the winter transfer window.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing Hungarian media, Ferencvaros attempted to sign the 28-year-old Brazilian during the summer transfer window but failed to reach an agreement.
According to reports, Neftchi head coach Yuriy Vernydub was unwilling to approve the departure of one of his team's most productive attacking players.
Hungarian media have also highlighted Almeida's impressive start to the season. At the time of the reports, the Brazilian had scored eight goals and provided two assists in eight official appearances.
According to Hungarian outlet Origo, Ferencvaros head coach Balazs Borbely is interested in strengthening his squad with the Brazilian winger. The Hungarian champions could therefore reopen negotiations with Neftchi in January.
Another interesting connection between the two clubs is Almeida's current teammate, Hungarian footballer Alen Skribek.
The 25-year-old joined Neftchi from Zalaegerszeg during the summer transfer window, a detail also highlighted by the Hungarian press.
Almeida moved to Neftchi from Cypriot club Ethnikos in February 2026. His impressive performances at the beginning of the current campaign have reportedly increased interest from foreign clubs, once again raising the possibility of a transfer.
