Today, the "Landmark 7" International Tournament was held in Azerbaijan, by "Rizin", the most famous Mixed Martial Arts Organisation of the World.

Idman.biz reports that the first fights were held in the National Gymnastics Arena organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and "Rizin" Fighting Federation.

Konstantin Merkulov (Kazakhstan) faced Hasan Mezhiev (Latvia) in the debut match at 93 kg. The Latvian finished the fight with a headlock in the 1st round.

The second match of the day was held between Quentin Domingos (Portugal) and Shota Betlemidze (Georgia). Shota ended the fight at 120 kg with a victory at the end of the 1st round.

Later, Ilyar Askhanov (Kazakhstan) and Vladislav Rudniev (Ukraine) entered the ring in middle weight - 71 kg. At the end of the 3-round fight, the Ukrainian was declared the winner.

In the next fight, Ilkhom Nazimov faced Jaures Dea (Cameroon) at 66 kg. The second winner was declared by the decision of the judges in the fight that lasted for 3 rounds.

In the last match of the first session of the night, female athletes entered the octagon. It was held between Anastasia Svetkivska (Ukraine) and Farida Abueva (Kyrgyzstan) in 51 kg. The Ukrainian won in the 2nd round with a painful trick.

It should be noted that after the opening of the competition, battles with the participation of Azerbaijani athletes will continue. The main match of the "Landmark 7" tournament will be held between Vugar Karamov and Chihiro Suzuki (Japan).
