UFC fighters Nazim Sadykhov and Rafael Fiziev, both from Azerbaijan, shared a humorous exchange during a joint social media live stream in Las Vegas, Idman.biz reports.
During the stream, Fiziev asked Sadykhov: “Tell me, why do you fight?”
Sadykhov replied: “I fight for social media followers. No one subscribes to me? I get bonuses for ‘Fight of the Night’ in UFC events, but my follower count doesn’t grow.”
Fiziev jokingly responded: “All of this guy’s American followers, come follow me!”
Over his career, Sadykhov has earned three “Fight of the Night” bonuses and one “Performance of the Night.” Fiziev has four “Fight of the Night” and three “Performance of the Night” awards.
In their most recent bouts, Fiziev defeated Chilean Ignacio Bahamondes in the co-main event of the June UFC tournament held in Baku, while Sadykhov beat Brazilian Nicolas Motta and received a UFC bonus.
Sadykhov’s next fight is scheduled for December 6 at UFC 323 in Las Vegas against French fighter Fares Ziam. Fiziev is currently recovering from a knee injury, with his return expected early next year.
