UFC president Dana White believes the world's largest MMA promotion could be worth around $50 billion.
As reported by İdman.Biz, White made the claim during an interview with "The Diary Of A CEO" YouTube channel.
"When we started this business, not many people believed in it. That's why we bought the UFC for $2 million. Let's be honest — the UFC was bought for $2 million. If the Lakers sold for $12.5 billion, then the UFC is worth $50 billion (85 billion AZN)," White said.
White has been in charge of the UFC since January 2001. At the time, Zuffa, the company founded by White and brothers Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta, acquired the financially struggling promotion from Semaphore Entertainment Group for $2 million.
Since then, the UFC has grown into one of the world's biggest sports organizations, while White has remained one of the promotion's key executives.
