Azerbaijani MMA fighter Asaf Chopurov has learned the date and opponent for his UFC debut.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the 24-year-old will face Australian fighter Colby Thicknesse at UFC 333 in Abu Dhabi on October 24. The event will take place at Etihad Arena.
Chopurov remains undefeated in his professional MMA career, having won all 11 of his fights, with 10 of those victories coming inside the distance. The Azerbaijani previously held the UAE Warriors lightweight title and successfully defended the belt twice.
Thicknesse has a professional record of nine wins and one defeat. The Australian defeated Vince Morales by unanimous decision in his most recent fight.
UFC 333 will be headlined by a title fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Movsar Evloev. Another championship bout on the card will see Petr Yan face Merab Dvalishvili.
