The European Cup among cadet judokas ended in Riga.

The judokas won 4 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze medals at the European Cup.
The Azerbaijani national team, represented only in the boys' competition, competed in the 73, 81 and +90 kg weight categories on the last day.
At 73 kg, two of the judokas, Jasur Ibadli and Ahmad Mehdiyev, stepped onto the mat. Ahmad Mehdiyev lost to Saad Dikajev (Estonia) in the 1/4 finals and joined the consolation matches for the bronze medal. Ahmad, who finished the next match unsuccessfully, finished the tournament without a medal.
Jasur Ibadli lost to Muratov Nurmukhammed from Kyrgyzstan in the second round. Since the opponent advanced to the finals, he joined the consolation matches for the bronze medal. Jasur, who won 3 matches at this stage, kept his bronze chance. He won against Artem Neyolov (Canada) in the match for the third place.
3 of the Azerbaijani judokas competed in the 81 kg weight category. Ali Gazimammadov defeated all his opponents and advanced to the finals. He lost to Ivano Djinkic (Bosnia and Herzegovina) in the decisive match and won the silver medal. Mehdi Abbasov defeated local athlete Jelisejs Bumazkins in the match for the bronze medal. Unlike his teammates, Hüseyin Eyvazli stopped the fight early.
The most successful fight of the day was recorded at +90 kg. Subhan Akhundov and Rasul Samadli defeated all their opponents in this weight and advanced to the finals. In the fight between two Azerbaijani judokas, Subhan won and took a place at the top of the podium.
As a result, our team finished the day with 1 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze medals.
It should be noted that on the first day the judokas won 3 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze medals.
