Rashad Rasullu: "The coaches' inadequate educational background is the reason they are unable to maintain their success" - VIDEO

"There are a lot of potential among our young athletes. But the first reason why they don't get results in adults is due to the low level of education of the coaches."

This was said by Rashad Rasullu, the general secretary of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, who was a guest of the Idman Bizde program.
According to him, achieving results among teenagers should not mean that it will be repeated in adults as well: "In Europe, it is very easy to achieve results among teenagers. Because our children develop faster physically than Europeans. They surpass their peers due to their physical strength. Mainly in low weight classes. There are many teenagers. We have European champions and continental award winners. But after they move to the youth, they cannot achieve success due to physical strength. And in the adults, they lose to what they won in their teens. In Europe, teenagers are treated as amateurs in fighting."

It should be noted that in 2023, the Azerbaijani junior judokas won a total of 103 medals, including 37 gold, 22 silver, and 44 bronze medals.
