NHL announces potential European hosts for regular-season games

The European countries where NHL regular-season games could be held have been announced.

In the 2025/26 season, the Pittsburgh and Nashville teams will play two matches in Sweden, Idman.biz reports.

The games will take place on November 14 and 16 at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm.

NHL Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly commented on the topic: “We have made the ‘Global Series’ a permanent event. In the future, we plan to continue this experience and cover new, non-traditional markets to further expand our league.

If you ask which countries we are considering, I would definitely include Germany among the candidates. Perhaps Switzerland as well. There are places where we want to continue this project.”
