The experienced specialist expressed his opinion about the meeting of the qualifying round of EURO-2024 with the Azerbaijan national team in Baku: "We started the match against Azerbaijan well. But then there was a slight dip in our game. Although we managed to rally, we were under a certain amount of pressure. Our girls played at the required level, completed the assigned and agreed tasks. I congratulate them for their play and fighting spirit. Although the Azerbaijani team was a relatively weak opponent, our handball players took the match seriously. Because we all know how looking down on an opponent can turn out. We gave all the players in the team a chance in Baku and at the same time we kept our strength for the match against Lithuania."
Grchevski also spoke about the last match of the qualifying round and EURO-2024: "That match is not important for us in terms of reaching the final round. But we want to win at home and complete the successful qualifying round with a victory in front of our home fans. I hope that if we are lucky in the draw of the final stage, we can get out of the group."
It should be noted that the North Macedonian national team won the match in Baku with a score of 37:22.
