Athletes begin podium training ahead of Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup in Baku

Teams participating in the Acrobatic Gymnastics World Cup have started arriving in Baku.

Athletes are holding podium training sessions today at the National Gymnastics Arena in preparation for the tournament, which officially kicks off tomorrow, Idman.biz reports.

This competition marks the third stage of the World Cup series and will bring together 63 athletes from seven countries.

The Azerbaijani national team will be represented by the following pairs and groups:

Mixed pairs: Raziya Seyidli and Agasif Rahimov, Milana Aliyeva and Sabir Agayev

Men’s pair: Murad Rafiyev and Daniel Abbasov

Men’s group: Rasul Seyidli, Riad Safarov, Seymur Jafarov, and Abdulla Al-Mashaykhi

Women’s group: Nazrin Zeyniyeva, Anahita Bashiri, and Zohra Rashidova

In addition to Azerbaijan, gymnasts from China, Germany, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, India, and Uzbekistan will also compete in the World Cup, which will take place from June 13 to 15.
