Fresh off their 19th championship title in the Azerbaijan Futsal Premier League, Araz-Nakhchivan has extended the contract of head coach Evgeny Kuksevich.
The Russian specialist will continue to lead the reigning champions for one more year, guiding the team through the upcoming 2025–2026 season, Idman.biz reports.
The club has also made key decisions regarding its squad. Among foreign players, Brazilian futsal star Giovanny Valerio has signed a new one-year contract and will remain with the red-and-whites for the new season.
Decisions concerning local players will be announced after the final match of the Azerbaijan Cup, scheduled for June 5 at 14:00 at the Olympic Star Sports Complex.
Araz-Nakhchivan was awarded the league trophy and gold medals yesterday. As national champions, they will represent Azerbaijan in the 2025–2026 UEFA Futsal Champions League.
