Azerbaijani driver Davin Jafarov has won the international “Easykart Portugal Trophy” karting tournament held in Palmela, Portugal.
The athlete took first place in the TaG Livre 125 category with 140 points on the 1,270-meter-long, 10-meter-wide Kartodromo Internacional de Palmela track, Idman.biz reports.
The tournament featured drivers from France, Great Britain, Spain, Portugal, Angola, and South Africa.
Jafarov will compete in the X30 category at the “World Grand Final” in Italy in October. In the continental championship, he will represent Portugal as part of the “BirelAreti” team. The 15-year-old, who has already won and placed in several international karting tournaments, has also received an offer to participate in “Formula 4” in Germany.
