"Qarabag" will not focus on defending the score against "Ferencvaros" (Hungary).
Idman.biz reports that former Azerbaijan national team coach Mahmud Gurbanov made this statement to Report news agency.
The expert said that Agdam’s team will aim for victory in the UEFA Champions League play-off second leg against "Ferencvaros": "Qarabag has a higher chance of reaching the group stage. The 3:1 away win was very important. I don’t think the team will be thinking about just defending the score, because Qarabag has its own style of play, and we will see it tonight."
He also emphasized that if "Qarabag" reach the group stage, it will mark a new chapter: "If Qarabag achieves its goal tonight, it will open a new page for Azerbaijani football. Of course, we’ve experienced this joy once before, but reliving it would be wonderful. Whether the squad needs strengthening is up to the coaching staff. In any case, stronger players may be required for the group stage."
The "Qarabag" – "Ferencvaros" match will kick off today at 20:45. In the first leg in Hungary, Agdam’s team won 3:1.
