Polish club Raków Częstochowa, home to Azerbaijan national team striker Mahir Emreli, have appointed a new head coach.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing the club's official press service, David Szwarga has taken charge of the team after signing a contract running until the end of the 2027/28 season.
The 36-year-old Polish specialist replaces Tomasz Kaczmarek, who has left his position following the team's disappointing start to the domestic campaign.
Szwarga faces a challenging task as Raków currently sit at the bottom of the Polish Ekstraklasa standings, having collected just six points. The club occupy 18th place in the 18-team league.
The coaching change comes at a crucial stage of the season, with Raków seeking to improve their results and move away from the relegation zone.
For Azerbaijan international Mahir Emreli, the appointment also marks the beginning of a new chapter at the Polish club, as he looks to contribute to the team's recovery under the new manager.
