“All of our potential opponents are strong teams. In European competitions, it’s pointless to search for a weak or strong rival.”
This is what Elmar Bakhshiyev, head coach of Araz-Nakhchivan, Idman.biz reports.
He commented on their upcoming UEFA Conference League second qualifying round matchup against Greek side Aris. Bakhshiyev told the club’s press service that the opponent is chosen by the draw, not by the team itself: “At this moment, our main focus is to quickly complete the squad, enter training camp at full strength, and prepare well for the matches. We haven’t analyzed the opponent yet as the draw was just held. We have time to study their strengths and weaknesses.”
The matches are scheduled for July 24 and 31, with Bakhshiyev’s team hosting the first leg in Baku.
