The draw for the second qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League has been held.

The event took place at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, where the opponents of Azerbaijani clubs were determined, Idman.biz reports.

Premier League silver medalist Zira has been drawn against Hajduk Split (Croatia). The Baku-based club will host the first leg at home, with the second leg played away.

Bronze medalist of the Azerbaijani championship, Araz-Nakhchivan, will face Aris Thessaloniki (Greece). Nakhchivan’s team will also play the first match at home and the return leg away.

The first legs of this round are scheduled for July 24, with second legs one week later.

The draw for the UEFA Conference League second qualifying round will take place today, with Azerbaijani clubs Zira and Araz-Nakhchivan set to learn their opponents.

Zira, the 2024/25 Azerbaijan Premier League runners-up, could be paired with one of several strong sides, including:

Or the winner of AEK Larnaca (Cyprus) vs Partizan Belgrade (Serbia)

Araz-Nakhchivan, who secured third place in the domestic league, also face tough potential opponents. Their possible rivals include:

Istanbul Basaksehir (Turkiye)

Omonia (Cyprus)

Aris Thessaloniki (Greece)

Or Beitar Jerusalem (Israel)

The first legs of the second qualifying round will be played on July 24, with the return matches scheduled for one week later.
