UEFA has confirmed changes to the qualifying round in which clubs will start competing in the 2025/26 Champions League, Europa League and Conference League.
It is due to the continued exclusion of Russian football teams from international competitions, Idman.biz reports.
Champions League
According to the updated distribution, two clubs will start the qualifying round not first, but second:
Paphos (Cyprus)
Ferentsváros (Hungary)
Europa League
A club has gained a similar advantage and will also start in the second qualifying round:
Midtulland (Denmark)
Conference League
The most changes affected this competition. Six clubs that should have started in the first round according to the ranking will join the competition directly in the second round:
Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
Vaduz (Liechtenstein)
Akureyri (Iceland)
Dungannon Swifts (Northern Ireland)
