45-year-old former midfielder shared his thoughts on the friendly match the team will play against Latvia today:
"It is interesting for us what state our players and the team will be in. I think head coach Fernando Santos will make moves to build the team of the future. It is a friendly match. He will test the players. But the result is also important. We know our national team and we know what quality the players have. This opponent is at the same level as us. We want to see at least a good match. If so, the results will come. I wish our team success!".
Latvia - Azerbaijan match, which will take place today at the Skonto stadium in Riga, will start at 17:00 Baku time.
