That’s how Musa Gurbanli, forward for Qarabag FK, summed up the campaign in a statement to Idman.biz following the club’s 12th title win in the Misli Premier League, Idman.biz reports.
The 23-year-old striker expressed his joy over the team’s achievement:
“We’re very happy to be champions. Every season, our goal is to win the league, and every time we succeed, the joy is the same. We’re very excited now, just like in previous years.”
Reflecting on his personal performance, Gurbanli acknowledged a challenging year:
“At the start of the season, I got injured and underwent surgery. That set me back quite a bit. I lost valuable time and missed several training sessions and matches. Toward the end of the season, I managed to regain my form, but there’s still a lot of work to do. Hopefully, next season will be even better.”
When asked about the possibility of returning to play abroad, the former Djurgårdens IF striker said:
“Right now, I’m not thinking about that. There have been no talks in that direction. I have a contract with Qarabag and my full focus is here.”
Gurbanli signed a three-year deal with Qarabag last June, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2027 after transferring from Swedish side Djurgårdens IF.
