The impact of Azerbaijan's recent match against Slovakia on the FIFA rankings has been revealed.
According to Idman.biz, Azerbaijan's 1:3 defeat in the IV round of the Nations League resulted in a loss of 3.39 points for the national team. Just three days earlier, a similar loss to Estonia cost the team 7.97 points.
In total, Azerbaijan has lost 11.36 points over two matches. Following the defeat against Slovakia, the national team's rating points have dropped to 1161.79. In the online FIFA rankings, Azerbaijan has fallen to 116th place, now trailing behind Zimbabwe.
Previously ranked 113th, the team dropped two spots after the Tallinn match and an additional spot after the Baku match.
The official FIFA rankings will be announced on October 24.
