Turkiye’s Galatasaray football club is reportedly considering ending its relationship with forward Mauro Icardi.
Idman.Biz reports that the Argentine striker tested the patience of the club’s management with his behavior after coming on in the 89th minute of the derby. Coupled with recent tensions over contract renewal, Icardi’s future at the club appears uncertain.
The “yellow-reds” plan to sign a new striker during the winter break and have already begun searching for a forward who won’t mind being a backup. In addition, the club aims to strengthen its defensive midfielder, central midfield, and wide positions.
Notably, 32-year-old Mauro Icardi’s contract with Galatasaray expires at the end of the season. This season, the Argentine forward has played 765 minutes across 18 matches in the Super League and Champions League, scoring 7 goals.
