Arsene Wenger holds coaching masterclass in Baku

Legendary French coach and FIFA Chief of Global Football Development Arsene Wenger has held a special coaching masterclass in Baku, bringing together leading figures from Azerbaijani football.

As reported by İdman.Biz, the event was organized by FIFA with the support of the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA).

Head coaches and assistant coaches from Misli Premier League clubs and Azerbaijan's national teams attended the seminar alongside AFFA representatives.

Drawing on his extensive experience, the former Arsenal manager shared his insights into coaching methods, player development and the evolving demands of modern football.

At the beginning of the meeting, AFFA Deputy Secretary General Elchin Mammadov welcomed the French specialist and presented him with an Azerbaijan national team jersey.

The seminar covered several topics proposed in advance by Premier League clubs, with particular attention paid to the development of young footballers, the transition from youth academies to first teams and effective team management.

During an interactive question-and-answer session, participants had the opportunity to discuss challenges they face in their coaching careers and exchange views directly with Wenger.

The event was held as part of FIFA's global mission to support coaching development and improve football standards worldwide.

Organized with AFFA's assistance, the masterclass also aimed to strengthen international knowledge exchange within Azerbaijani football and create opportunities for continuous professional learning.

Wenger, who managed Arsenal from 1996 to 2018, is widely recognized for his contributions to modern football, including player development, innovative training methods and the club's historic unbeaten Premier League campaign in the 2003/04 season.
