Prior to the Qarabag – Athletic match, reports emerged from Bilbao regarding provocative graffiti and symbols targeting the Azerbaijani champions.
Anar Hajiyev, head of Qarabag’s press service, told Idman.Biz that the matter was immediately reported to the management of Athletic Bilbao, who informed local police to investigate the situation.
“The Qarabag Football Club believes in the principles of peace, friendship, and respect in sports competitions, and any provocations that violate these principles are unacceptable. Our team is fully focused on the upcoming match and will continue to represent our country with dignity on the field,” Hajiyev stated.
