The leader of the Turkish Fenerbahce fan group Cem Golbasi, has been sentenced by a court for allegedly coercing a person to wear a wig and record a video, Idman.Biz reports.
The incident took place in Istanbul’s Bagcilar district and the footage went viral on social media in November 2024. In the video, a young man wearing a wig can be heard saying, “I apologize to my elder, Cem Golbasi, for my mistakes.”
According to the court’s ruling, Golbasi was sentenced to 6 years, 10 months, and 15 days in prison. The sentence underscores legal consequences for acts of intimidation and harassment.
