Today in Baku, the General Assembly of the recently founded International Chovken Federation took place.

29 delegates from 19 nations, representing every continent, took part in the event hosted at the Bina Equestrian Center, according to Idman.biz.

Elchin Guliyev, President of the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Chingiz Huseynzade, Vice President of the National Olympic Committee, spoke at the event and said that horse riding is of great importance for Azerbaijan.

At the meeting of the General Assembly, the charter of the Federation and the rules of chess were reviewed, the creation of committees and regional groups, and the development of chess in the participating states were discussed.

In the elections held at the meeting, Bahruz Nabiyev was elected the president of the International Chovken Federation, and the representative of Poland, Maciej Michel Olbrich, was elected the general secretary.
It should be noted that at the final meeting of the General Assembly tomorrow, it is planned to hold elections for other leadership positions in the International Chovken Federation.
