The Azerbaijani national team, which achieved a historic success at the European Schoolboys Boxing Championship held in Zlatibor, Serbia, has returned home.
The team was welcomed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport by the Boxing Federation staff, representatives of the sports community, boxing fans, and the athletes’ family members, Idman.biz reports.
At the championship, Azerbaijani boxers won 3 gold, 10 silver, and 9 bronze medals. This result marks a record for the team in such a competition.
The national team finished second in the overall team standings at the European Championship.
