The European Championship among young boxers continues in Poreč, Croatia.
Idman.biz reports that on the fifth day of the competition, another athlete of the Azerbaijan national team won his first match.
Zidan Humbatov beat than Jamie Collins (Ireland). The member of the national team fighting in 51 kg won the first 2 rounds. In the third round, the referee disqualified his opponent and Humbatov advanced to the quarter-finals.
Zidan will play his next match against Mohammadreza Safari (England) on April 11.
Abbasgulu Shadlinski (67 kg) lost to Arturs Vaisla (Latvia) in the 1/8 finals.
It should be noted that the European Championship will be concluded on April 14.
