The Baku stage of the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series tips off today, with 16 teams set to compete in the exciting international tournament.
Six lower-ranked teams will first battle it out in the qualification round, divided into two groups, Idman.biz reports. The winners of these groups will advance to the main round, joining 10 pre-seeded teams.
Qualification Groups
Group A: Madagascar, Italy, Romania
Group B: Kazakhstan, Roma, Egypt
Main Round Groups
Group A: Netherlands, Prague, Azerbaijan
Group B: China, Takasaki (club), Chile
Group C: Thailand, Latvia, A1 (Qualifier Winner from Group A)
Group D: Austria, Philippines, B1 (Qualifier Winner from Group B)
In Group A, the Azerbaijani national team will take on the Netherlands and Prague today, May 26, in their group stage matches.

16:00. Netherlands vs. Azerbaijan
17:50. Prague vs. Azerbaijan
The top two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals.
