Elnura Mammadova, a member of the Azerbaijan national team, started the World Cup from the 1/8 final stage. The athlete, who won with a "takedown" against Canadian Kelyn Young, defeated Maria Tyumerekova of Russia in the quarter-finals with a score of 8:7 and advanced to the semi-finals.
She faced American Audrey Jimenez on her way to the final. In the meeting, Azerbaijani athlete lost with the score of 4:7 and will compete for bronze tomorrow.
It should be noted that Abduljalil Shabanov (92 kg) and Vahit Galayev (125 kg) won bronze medals at the World Championship. Ziraddin Bayramov (65 kg) and Ashraf Ashirov (79 kg) reached the finals. Decisive meetings will be held today.
