Aston Villa have opened negotiations with head coach Unai Emery over a contract extension as the English Premier League club look to secure his long-term future.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Birmingham-based club have also offered new agreements to Damian Vidagany and Roberto Olabe, with negotiations reportedly entering their final stages.
"Aston Villa have offered new contracts to Unai Emery, as well as Damian Vidagany and Roberto Olabe. Talks are at the final stages.
"The club want to rule out any possibility of interest from other teams and avoid any complications. The management are completely satisfied with Unai's work," Romano wrote on X.
Emery, 55, has been in charge of Aston Villa since 2022 and has played a key role in transforming the club into a competitive force in English and European football.
Under his leadership, Aston Villa achieved a historic milestone by winning the UEFA Europa League in the 2025/26 season, further strengthening the Spanish coach's reputation as one of Europe's most successful managers in the competition.
Emery's current contract runs until June 30, 2029, but the club are reportedly eager to extend his commitment even further and maintain stability within their sporting structure.
The Spanish manager previously coached Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain, Sevilla and Villarreal, building an impressive record in European competitions.
