France head coach Zinedine Zidane has begun preparations at the Clairefontaine training centre ahead of his first camp in charge of the national team.
As reported by İdman.Biz, Zidane arrived at Clairefontaine on Saturday morning, a day after announcing his first 23-man squad at the French Football Federation headquarters. The other members of his coaching staff joined him at the training base later in the evening.
The 54-year-old has also familiarised himself with his new office at Clairefontaine. His workspace is located close to the team manager's office and is decorated with France national team logos.
Since his appointment, Zidane has also been actively working at the French Football Federation's headquarters in Paris.
Zidane and his staff are currently reviewing all aspects of the team's preparations before the players arrive. Their work includes assessing the Clairefontaine facilities, planning the players' movements around the training centre and reviewing the squad's nutrition programme.
The coaching staff also watched the Atletico Madrid vs Real Madrid and Marseille vs Paris Saint-Germain matches yesterday as part of their preparations.
Zidane's first training camp as France head coach begins today.
