Tottenham Hotspur head coach Roberto De Zerbi has reflected on his side's difficult start to the season following a 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in the EFL Cup.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing Reuters and Tottenham's official website, the Italian admitted the team's recent results have taken a toll.
"We're suffering because of the results. When we lose, it hurts. We're disappointed and upset," De Zerbi said.
The Spurs manager stressed that the club is still in the early stages of a new project and is going through a rebuilding period.
"When that click happens, I think we'll start winning a lot of games and scoring a lot of goals," he added.
The defeat to Liverpool extended Tottenham's winless run to four matches in all competitions. The north London side has collected just two points from its opening four Premier League fixtures.
Tottenham's next league match will be against Aston Villa.
