Chelsea have strengthened measures aimed at preventing confidential information from being leaked from the club, with head coach Xabi Alonso increasing the level of secrecy around the first team.
As reported by İdman.Biz, citing the Daily Mail, security procedures at the London club's training ground have been tightened under the Spanish coach.
The move comes after two people were reportedly spotted watching a closed Chelsea training session from close range last week, raising concerns over the protection of tactical and team information.
Alonso has also changed the way he communicates his starting line-up to the players. The Chelsea head coach now reveals his team selection only on the day of a match in an attempt to reduce the possibility of information becoming public in advance.
The issue of leaks has previously caused concern at Stamford Bridge. Last season, Chelsea were reportedly shocked after discovering that there was a "mole" inside the club who was leaking starting line-ups before matches.
The latest measures are intended to ensure that information about Alonso's tactical plans, training sessions and team selections remains confidential ahead of games.
