Manchester United consider move for Ferdi Kadıoğlu

Manchester United are considering a move for Brighton and Türkiye defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu before the transfer window closes.

As reported by İdman.Biz, citing the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are looking to strengthen the left side of their defence. Newcastle United's Lewis Hall remains their primary target, but the Magpies are reportedly unwilling to consider offers for the player after losing several key members of their squad this summer.

As a result, Manchester United are assessing alternative options, with 26-year-old Kadıoğlu among the candidates.

Kadıoğlu joined Brighton from Fenerbahçe in 2024 for a fee of around £25 million. His first season in England was largely disrupted by injury, but he subsequently attracted attention with his versatility.

The Türkiye international can operate on either side of defence, as well as a winger and midfielder.

Kadıoğlu missed Brighton's opening game of the current season through injury but returned to the starting line-up last week, playing at left-back in the 4-3 defeat to Chelsea.

Manchester United are expected to decide in the final days of the transfer window whether to sign a new left-back now or postpone their search until January.

Manchester United are also one of Baku-based Sabah's opponents in the UEFA Champions League league phase this season. The teams will meet at Old Trafford on September 10 in the opening matchday of the league phase.
