Former Germany international Niklas Sule has made his debut for amateur club Tiefenbach, who compete in the eighth tier of German football.
As reported by İdman.Biz, the five-time German champion and Champions League winner with Bayern Munich played the full 90 minutes for his new team and even managed to get on the scoresheet.
Sule scored with a header, but his goal was not enough to prevent Tiefenbach from suffering a heavy 2-7 defeat.
Interestingly, the former Germany defender was deployed in midfield and attack rather than in his usual position at the back.
The 30-year-old announced his retirement from professional football in May due to injury problems. Borussia Dortmund were the final club of his professional career.
Sule previously enjoyed a successful spell at Bayern, winning five Bundesliga titles and the Champions League among other trophies. He also earned 49 caps for the German national team.
