The winners of the second day of the international Azerbaijan Open alpine skiing tournament, held in Gusar, have been determined.
According to Idman.Biz, the Azerbaijan Winter Sports Federation reported that the competition is being organized jointly by the federation and the Shahdag Tourism Center and is included in the International Ski Federation (FIS) calendar.
On the second competition day, athletes competed in the slalom discipline. After an intense contest, Switzerland’s Nikita Anner claimed first place. Dalel Talkunova of Kazakhstan finished second, while Georgia’s Nino Tklauri took third place.
The athletes will continue their competition tomorrow in the giant slalom event.
It should be noted that the tournament features 20 female athletes from Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovenia, Georgia, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Nepal, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan. Azerbaijan is represented at the event by Anastasia Papatoma.
The Azerbaijan Open international alpine skiing tournament will conclude on January 11.
