A significant milestone has been achieved for Azerbaijani triathlon.
Balaheydar Karimov, the coach of the national team and an experienced referee, has, for the first time, officiated at a World Triathlon event, Idman.biz reports.
On August 9-10, he served as a referee at the European Youth Cup held in Izvorani, Romania, gaining his first experience on the international stage.
Karimov stated that he will strive to continue this work in the future: “This competition was a great experience for me. In the future, I will try to represent our country with honor at more international triathlon events.”
The Azerbaijan Triathlon Federation has evaluated Balaheydar Karimov’s debut as an international referee as an important step for the development of national triathlon and expressed confidence that his future work will bring even greater success.
Karimov is the head coach of the Azerbaijani youth triathlon national team. As a specialist with extensive refereeing experience, he has served as the chief referee at many local and international competitions held in our country, including the “IronWind” international triathlon event.
