She will next face either Canadian wildcard Victoria Mboko or Czech Marie Bouzkova.
Fourth seed Mirra Andreeva was upset by 28th seed McCartney Kessler, who will now meet Marta Kostyuk. Unseeded Zhu Lin also progressed with a commanding 6-2, 6-2 win.
